Odell Beckham Jr Reportedly Wants $20 Million Per Year

  • by

Odell Beckham Jr is a wide receiver who when healthy can change your team. This is why so many teams showed up to see his most recent workout.

I’d personally love to see him come back to the Giants for the right price.

According to a new report Odell Beckham Jr wants $20 million per year.

FanNation:

The Dallas Cowboys have talent on offense, with a franchise quarterback in Dak Prescott, a talented running back in Tony Pollard and a star receiver in CeeDee Lamb. They admit they need to add “playmaking juice” and they admit to liking Odell Beckham Jr.

But do they like him $20 million APY’s worth?

In a Pro Football Talk article, Mike Florio writes on the day after OBJ’s private workout (not attended by Dallas) about what he’s heard about Beckham’s contract demands.

“At one point during the 2022 season, a report emerged that free-agent receiver Odell Beckham Jr. wants $20 million per year. We’re told that Beckham still has that number in mind,” Florio said.

I am not a contract expert but this seems steep. Beckham is a player worth this money when he is healthy but with injury concerns, it is tough to dump $20 million to sign him.

To put this in perspective Mike Williams and Keenan Allen make $20 million each year. Now, they are on longer-term contracts but for one season this is who you are banking on Odell being.

The only way I see a team taking this risk is if they feel he is the one piece they need to win a Super Bowl and feel he is healthy up to make it the whole year.

What do you think – should Odell ask for less money?
