Saquon Barkley is quieting all the haters so far this season.
He is currently leading the NFL in rushing and is second in yards per carry.
This led to even CBS Sports pointing out it is no crazy to consider Barkley the best running back in football.
Saquon Barkley is the best running back in football
Overreaction or reality: RealityThrough four games, yes. Barkley led the Giants to a tough win over the Bears, rushing 31 times for 146 yards as New York finished with 262 rushing yards against a tough Bears defense. Barkley leads the NFL in rushing yards (463) and is second in the NFL in yards per carry (5.5) among running backs with a minimum of 60 carries.
The argument could be made Nick Chubb is better, but Barkley is playing behind a much worse offensive line. Barkley gets the nod here.
Let’s keep in mind Barkley is doing this with an offense that is far from talented. Defenses can key in on Barkley and he is still dominating.
